And there was a third shooting last night, but this time, the victim is clinging on to life. 18-year-old Andre Sanker was on his verandah in Corozal when someone came into his yard and shot at him. He was rushed to the Corozal Community Hospital. According to ASP Yearwood, police have one suspect detained so far.

"Police responded around 10:45pm to a residence on the corner of F and D Streets where I was relayed to police that three men were socializing on a verandah, Andrew Sanker, Ainsworth Matura, and Leonardo Acosta and a man came from behind the house, fired shots at Sanker, making good on his target. Sanker was transported to the Corozal Community Hospital and is listed as critical. We have since detained that person and hopefully by the end of today we would be able to levy charges. I know hat investigators are gathering more statements from witnesses but hopefully very soon we can share his identity. We can't establish the motive as yet but hopefully we are praying for his recovery and maybe he can shed some light on why this had occurred."
