The hottest trend on social media the past couple days had to do with a bar brawl in Bella Vista - not Mango Creek as some originally thought.
In the video that has gone viral and exploded in the meme-verse, a woman is seen slapping a female bartender, and the bartender retaliated by striking the woman in the head with a landshark beer bottle. But as the altercation escalated, a police officer rushed in and parted the fight.
Today we asked the ComPol about the incident and he told us that the bar-room beef stemmed from something that happened behind the scenes, involving a third person. And this morning, all three ended up in court. Here's what he told us:

Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"This whole incident started the day before and apparently there was an issue between a man and a woman.t hey might have had some relationship and something had gone wrong between them, which caused the man to go after the woman and they had some confrontation. Thereafter they both left and apparently the man went and told something to his sister, and his sister then went to this restaurant and then approached the other lady during which they had a discussion and during the discussion, things got out of hand and a fight started between them. The fight involved the use of pint bottle and I can see where landshark has become popular since as a weapon of choice and they were police officers there and a police intervened to stop them from fighting and they were allowed to go their respective way. I must say that since then, we have detained and arrested and charged the male person who was involved in the day before incident, along with the two females who were in the fight and they should appear in court this morning to answer to charges in respect to that fight."
Courtney Menzies
"Are you concerned that with the regulations being relaxed and I think April 1st, they're getting rid of all of them, the bars will be opened, the nightclubs, more drinking, that we'll have more fights that the police now have to break them up, endangering their own selves?"
Chester Williams
"Well it is a part of our work as police officers, we do expect that these things will occur and so we will be prepared. We understand that we have been under some degree of restraint for the past two years and people need to feel free and go back to living a normal life. it's just that, we would have anticipated that some people would be as calm as they could or as understanding as they should, but human nature, there's always going to be those who will be aggressive those will over drink, those who will fight, and that's why we have police, to ensure we police those type of people."
The incident reportedly happened after a football match on Saturday at Welcome Restaurant. The bartender - who we are told is nicknamed Ritzy - has since stopped working at the bar - reportedly due to threats.
