But while that Seine Bight family is grieving their dog, the Mangat family is still mourning 29-year-old Ramandeep Mangat.
She was fatally shot on Friday night, just after closing her store in San Ignacio. Her husband, Gurmeet Mangat, told police that he was buying tacos on Buena Vista Street when he heard screaming. He turned around and that's when he saw his wife trying to exit their car which was parked across the street. But the ComPol told us today that that story isn't quite adding up:

Chester Williams - Commissioner of Police
"He is no longer in police detention, that matter is still being investigated, we have looked at several motives surrounding the husband and I'm not going to go much with them because we cannot prove them at this time, but the husband is still being looked at as a possible suspect. There are several things that took place that night that cannot be coincidence, and so we're looking at it still and we're hoping that pretty soon, we should be able to get a breakthrough with that matter."
And we also asked the ComPol about the case of the drowning in Santa Familia. While there is an investigation going on, Williams explained that he doesn't think they will be able to charge the godmother since it was an accidental drowning.
