And there was another fatal motorcycle accident over the weekend, this time in Gales Point Manatee. On Saturday night, 17-year-old Joshua Samuels lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a tree. It's possibly the first fatal accident reported in the small community and today, ASP Fitzroy Yearwood told us more.

"I know that initial investigation reveal that he was driving his motorbike around the cemetery area of Manatee when he lost control of it and collided into a lamppost. Unfortunately, Jashua, seventeen-year-old, succumbed to his injuries at the Southern Regional Hospital while receiving treatment."

"Well Jules to be honest, I didn't see that indicated in the report, but I will query about it."

"In my experience it's the first fatal accident within Gales Point Village that I have ever seen?"

"First I have ever heard of, but it's unfortunate and it happened to a youth 17 years old. I know that our officers will investigate this also to find out what was the cause of this accident. Anywhere a life is loss we investigate until proven that it happened naturally and then we leave it to the family to deal with their loss."
