An Asian grocer from Belmopan's The Phoenix supermarket became the victim of a robbery on Sunday when two Hispanic men entered the store threatening the store owner with a sawed off shotgun and demanding that he hand over the contents of his cash register.
The robbery happened at around 11:00 on Sunday happened quickly with surveillance footage showing the men exiting the store just under a minute after the attack was carried out.
But that's where their troubles really started because it seems that the getaway bike refused to start. The rider attempts to crank it several times all the while looking over his shoulder. His passenger then jumps off having made the decision to run off on foot. But just then the motorcycle starts up. It's likely the rider then shouts for his passenger who makes a mad dash back to the bike and jumps on just in time for the two to make a speedy getaway.
