Tonight, police continue to investigate the death of a man from Chunox Village in the Corozal District. The victim has been 19-year-old Angel Gabriel Baptist, a fisherman from that community.
Initial investigation reveals that on Monday, April 11, Baptist returned from a fishing trip and he made a stop at a shop in the village. He was with his brother-in-law, who police have identified as Ellis Tun. Reports are that they then headed over to Tun's house, where they ended up in a fight. Baptist was injured in that struggle, and he then went home. His family checked up on him sometime later, and that's when they found his lifeless body.
Baptist was taken to the Corozal Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. His body now awaits a post-mortem at the morgue.
