On Monday's newscast, we told you about that disturbing video that went viral on Facebook last weekend. That's the graphic cellphone footage that depicted a fully nude woman - who is allegedly mentally ill - beating another in front of a female police officer.

Well, the woman has since been identified as 28-year-old Hannah Marin. She was arraigned today before Magistrate Baja Shoman on 2 counts of common assault. The victim she allegedly attacked has been identified as Darlene Ramos.

Police say that on Tuesday, a women police officer brought Marin to the Precinct 1 Police Station and instructed that Marin be charged with 2 counts of common assault, based on 2 separate video clips showing her beating Ramos, who has been identified as a mental patient.

One of those instances happened on Saturday when Marin was seen brutally stomping and kicking Ramos in the head, and slamming her against the zinc shutter of a nearby shop. The cops say that there is another video from Tuesday where Marin allegedly caught up to Ramos on Cemetery Road, where she attacked the victim, beat her, and choked her.

During her arraignment, Marin pleaded guilty to one of the charges claiming, that she did it for a reason. The magistrate entered her into an equivocal not guilty plea, and for the second offense, Marin pleaded not guilty.

Magistrate Shoman then remanded her to prison until May 23, 2022, her next court date. The magistrate has also ordered that a psychiatric evaluation be done on Marin.
