A motorcycle driver had a grisly end on the San Estevan Road last night.

Around 7:00 last night, 34 year old Marlin Nadir Hernandez was heading back to his home village of San Estevan - when he allegedly tried to overtake a pickup truck.

Driver of the pickup Hilmer Torres ended up in a violent collision with Hernandez - which killed Hernandez on the spot.

Today in San Estevan, his family wanted answers and closure for their only brother. CTV-3 news poke to his sister:

Voice of: Rebecca Chan, Sister of Deceased
"Their version goes that he had the fault but we don't know anything more, only that the police have informed us of, so far, and we haven't gone to see anything, still we don't know what will happen. The only thing that we know is that he had the fault. He wanted to overtake a vehicle but in reality we don't know if there is any eyewitness or knows something."

"The only thing my mother used to tell him was to be careful and to reach back home in time. He was my only little brother, because we are all girls, he was a good young man, he was a hard working person who never gave up, always helping everyone even though they weren't his relatives, he agreed with everyone here at the village, he had a lot of friends, he didn't deserve to die."

Hilmer Torres has been served with a notice of intended prosecution.
