Kevin Moto Alvarez has appeared on this newscast before trying to make peace with a rival gang, but today he appeared in court, charged for being a member of a gang.
Police say he is a member of the Supal Street Bloods/also known as the "4th Genna Gang".
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was denied bail and remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until August 8, 2022.
Magistrate Sashawna Thompson explained to him that her hands are tied as it relates to granting him bail but he can hire an attorney to apply for bail through the Supreme Court as early as next week Friday, May 13, 2022.
Alvarez will now join his cousins, Reese and James Fitzgibbon behind bars - they were also charged with being members of the same gang two Fridays ago.
