Taza Mas, No Mas!

A sailboat known as MV The Taza Mas that was grounded near Moho Caye and a salvage operation to move it has started.

The Belize Port Authority reports this evening that today the vessel was moved "200 meters East of the grounding position by Hakim Marine Limited with lift bags as coordinated by the Belize Port Authority." They say the vessel is now stabilized in an upright position. Additional equipment will be needed for the rest of the salvage operation, quote, "to ensure that it does not pose a threat to private properties and navigation."
