Cayo cops have also made a swift arrest in the shooting of 26-year-old George Requena.
As we reported, that incident happened at around 1:30 a.m. last Saturday morning in Downtown San Ignacio. As we told you, one of Requena's companions managed to record his shooting on a cell phone, and that footage went viral on social media. Police allege that the assailants were Domacio Mutrie, 28-year-old, a mechanic of Santa Elena Town, and Jose Antonio Penados, a 33-year-old Mechanic of Succotz Village.
Mutrie was charged with the offenses of wantonly discharging a firearm in public, attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm. Penados was charged with the offense of abetment to commit murder.
