Last week we told you about mechanic Carlton Belisle Sr., who was shot in his own yard by a gunman who had called out for his son.
Reports were that the 56 year old Belisle was critical but stable but on Sunday he succumbed to his gunshot injuries.
And this evening we headed back to his home to speak with his wife Abigail. She has mobility issues and was unable to go to his hospital bedside. Today she told us that she's having to find the strength to go on without her provider and loving partner of 33 years.
Voice of: Abigail, Wife of Deceased
"I feel like he would have come home back, because to me he didn't seem so bad, so the [shots] in his side, he didn't get it in his head, but I talk to him and he wanted me to go at the hospital. I didn't make it, because the person that I expected to come and pick me up, he had Corona, so I just had to stay and I just sit here and I put on my phone. After 1pm I put on my phone and I see they have RIP, so I was surprised. I said RIP, what is this? He just couldn't take it anymore, too much pain. He had a bullet lodge in his side and he had a swelling on his brain."
