This morning, police communications officer Yearwood, spoke about what is now a murder investigation into the death of Carlton Belisle Sr.:
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood - Communication Officer, Police Department
"I know that on Thursday, the 9th of June, around 11 p.m., police visited the area around the mile 16 and a half-hour space, where they saw a 56-year-old mechanic, this man Carlton Belisle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and I was transported to the KHMH, where he succumbed on Saturday while undergoing treatment. We know that the Belisle was at home when he heard someone shouting for his son. He went outside to see who it was, and that is when a barrage of bullets was fired at him. He was transported to KHMH, and he succumbed to his injuries, where he was treated. We know that police have since detained someone, and I will verify whether or not that person is charged with this murder."
