And another police matter that the Minister spoke about is the vexing case of PC Alicia Trapp. She's the officer who became embroiled in a village council face-off with Minister Julius Espat.

And while Trapp has escaped any criminal charges, she still has a department tribunal to contend with. We asked the Police minister about Trapp today and whether he thinks she's getting a fair shake given the contentious that her attorney, OJ Elrington seems to be having with COMPOL Chester Williams.

And while, the minister wouldn't comment of the battle of ego's between the COMPOL and attorney Elrington he did share a bit about the procedure that would determine Trapp's fate:

Hon. Kareem Musa - Minister of Home Affairs
"That seems to be some sort of competitive things amongst the lawyers between the COMPOL and OJ Elrington but I won't get involved in that or comment on that. The police and in particular the commissioner of police doesn't have any say in terms of what will happen to Ms. Trapp, that is going to be determined by tribunal if it is that she is charged. As I'm aware Hon. Julius Espat did not press any charges criminally against Ms. Trapp but I think there may still be a tribunal hearing for Ms. Trapp and again it's something that I would want to comment on as Minister and let it take it's course."
