It's a common scenario, an employee asks his boss for a raise of pay but the boss for whatever reason will not or cannot give it to him.
That's what happened to 27-year-old Alexander Holder when he made that plea to his bosses at Coye funeral home. It's a circumstance that the young man claims left him extremely stressed. So stressed in fact that he broke into his place of work to steal $1,473.61.
What's curious about this story, however, is that Holder would have gotten away with the crime because the surviellance footage was of poor quality and never captured any distinguishing feature of the culprit seen entering the parlour.
In fact the 27-year-old continued working at the Funeral parlour for another two weeks until July 1st but thereafter turned himself in, and confessed to burlarizing his former boss's office.
At his arraignment today Holder seemed to show little remorse for his actions and said he wasn't thinking right because he was quote "stressed out." The first time offender said that he'd never stolen from anyone and asked for a second chance but the Magistrate informed him that the minimum sentence for burglary is 7 years. Still she granted him a lesser sentence of 4 years due to the fact that he'd confessed and hadn't wasted the courts time.
When asked what he did with the money Holder said he'd given it to a homeless man.
