What at first seemed like an apparent hit and run in San Jose, Orange Walk, may have actually been a murder. That's what police are currently investigating after they found Israel Chable on the side of the road AT 12:30 AM on Saturday with injuries inconsistent with a road accident.
Today the commanding officer for CIB updated us on their investigation:
ASP Alfonso Aban, Officer Commanding, CIB
"On Saturday, August sixth, at 5:30 a.m., Orange Walk police were called a male person seen on the road in San Jose Village where they saw one Israel Chable who received several injuries to the body. He was transported to the Orange Walk hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival."

"What's the police investigation saying so far in regards to if it was indeed intentional?"
ASP Alfonso Aban
"So far, the police are still investigating and the injuries received do not appear to be that of a road traffic accident."

"Can you say if it was blunt force trauma, if he was shot or anything like that?"
ASP Alfonso Aban
"He had several injuries to the body and police are still investigating that matter."
