There are two disturbing stories of sexual abuse coming out of the north tonight.
The first is in Orange Walk where one week ago, an 11 year old girl reported to police that for the months of May to August, her stepfather, who is a 33 year old teacher had sexual intercourse with her. She had been left in his care during that time period. Yesterday police formally arrested and charged the 33-year-old, Belizean Teacher with four counts of unlawful sexual intercourse And the other case comes out of Corozal Town, where two Friday's ago, a 41-year-old, woman accompanied her 14-year-old daughter to the Police Station. The minor reported that on Friday, May 20th, 2022, between 12:00 midnight and 3:00 in the morning, she woke up to find her uncle in her room. She says her uncle kissed and touched her inappropriately. Police have since arrested and charged, a 32-year-old of Corozal Town for the crime of Sexual Assault.
