Back in May, we brought you the footage of Jasmine Hartin being escorted into Belize City via boat, before being handcuffed and taken to the Queen Street police station for questioning.

The allegation then, was that she had placed hits on both the Magistrate overseeing her custody case, Dale Cayetano and the commissioner of Police Chester Williams. Back then the look on Hartin's face was one of smiling bemusement as she was once again carried off to a jail cell. 6 Days later she would lose custody of her twins Charlie and Elle, who have since been removed from the country.

But ahead of the weekend, she was exonerated by the commission himself when he gave an interview admitting that the department hadn't been able to unearth any evidence to confirm the hit. Here's what he told the press on Friday.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I'm sure the entire media and public are aware that, my self and the director of the national family court were allegedly threatened by her."

"In terms of the matter with Jasmine Hartin we have investigated that matter and we did not come up with anything credible to show that the threat was actually made or if the threat was real."

In a comment to 7 news tonight Jasmine Hartin has said that she is pleased that the Commissioner has admitted that the allegations against her were completely invented without any proof or evidence. She goes on to say quote: "However, the damage that has been done locally and internationally from being named in such a despicable plot has caused a domino effect. These allegations have been used against me in my custody hearing, and I have lost friendships and jobs over his irresponsible actions. It makes me wonder what his motive was for my wrongful detention in the first place.." End quote.
