He just turned 18 a few weeks ago - but Charleston Christopher Green Jr is in jail tonight - after he allegedly fired on police.

His alleged gunplay made national news because it happened in the middle of the Soca Moca mas camp - which was being live-streamed - and the sound of the gunshots sent revelers scrambling.

Today, the alleged shooter who police say opened fire on them appeared in court where he was read 8 criminal charges including attempted murder, as well as 3 counts of aggravated assault with a firearm upon 3 police officers and 2 firearm related offences.

The Senior Magistrate explained to Green that she will not be taking any plea from him and since the offences are alleged to have been committed with a firearm, she cannot grant him bail. He was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until November 2, 2022.

Green was arrested on Tuesday night after a shooting on Iguana Street. Police say they found him near a Glock 17 pistol.
