We note that Lorenzo spent close to a year on administrative leave due to this allegation. But, according to the Police Commissioner, when the Security Services Commission reviewed the case, they could not take any action against him due to a lack of evidence.
The person to who he was speaking in the compromising video did not want to give a statement, and so, without that cooperation, the Commission was obliged to lift his interdiction and allow him to return to active duty.
For context, we take you back to February of this year when 7News grilled the ComPol on this topic:

"The truth is, and you can perhaps check with other persons who are working in the intelligence field, there is indeed a technique in gathering intelligence, as you would know I have worked special branch many years as well and there is indeed a technique where in order for you to get more from a source, you may feed the source with certain information and see how the source is going to respond to that information and based on what Mr. Lorenzo as you said which I don't understand how you get a hold of what he wrote because you ought not to, he explained the process of what may have transpired. Now, as an intelligence officer, I may not have gone as far as he went. I am being truthful and honest; he went a bit too far. But again, as I said, it is not a matter for me to determine as the commissioner."

"Have I not said to you, Mr. Vasquez, I am not the one who has control?"

"I don't have control, Jules Vasquez, and again, if the services commission lifts the interdiction and says that the man is to return to work, I have no legal authority to say to the commission, I'm not taking him back at work."
Since then, the Commissioner appeared on Uncut explaining the actions of the officer as legitimate intelligence/information gathering tactics.
