We also asked the Home Affairs Minister about reports we've received that Police Precinct 3 now has a new commander. The new head is senior cop Edlin Lorenzo. His name made the news a year ago when he was placed on administrative leave while working at the Gang Suppression Unit.

That's because a video emerged that allegedly captured him sharing information with a confidential informant, which would compromise another police source. Colloquially, you could say that he was accused of "snitching on a police snitch," and it's one of the most serial ethical violations any police officer - particularly an intelligence specialist - can be accused of.

But, he got past that and we're informed that he has been installed as the head of Precinct 3, so today, we asked the Home Affairs Minister Musa about that. Here's what he had to say about it:

Kareem Musa - Minister of Home Affairs
"I could check into it and then give you another interview, but I'm not familiar with it at this point."

Reporter
"Is it concerning as such an allegation has been made, though?"

Kareem Musa
"Of course, it's a concern, and then you have to look at what the police department did in respect of that incident if it did happen."
