And more details have emerged on that second murder in the south.
It's led to a manhunt for one Elias Pacheco, a man who is said to have murdered Bella Vista resident Ernesto Blanco in a jealous rage over his ex-common law wife. We heard more about that incident this morning from ASP Fitzroy Yearwood.
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Communications Director, Belize Police Department

"Bella Vista Village on the 10th September around 12:13am Denia Montoya reported that she was standing in her yard accompanied by Ernesto Blanco at the time who had recently walked her home. She is saying that she saw a vehicle stopped in front of her premises and Elias Pacheco exited that vehicle with a machete in his hand where he inflicted several chop wounds to Mr. Blanco. Mr. Blanco ran onto the street where he collapsed. He was later transported to the polyclinic in Independence Village where he succumbed to his injuries."
"We have since issued a wanted person poster for Elias Pacheco, a Honduran national and we have since contacted our neighboring countries to be on the lookout for him. We believe that he is still armed and dangerous and hopefully we could get him before he flees the country."

"Had any prior report been made about him being violent towards his ex?"
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood
"Prior report, I cannot confirm at this time but we are certain that he was an ex common-law and it looks like his jealousy put him in such a rage that he took the life of another man."
