And in crime news, yesterday we told you about the 7th body that was found on the John Smith Road. 35-year-old Allen Martinez went missing over a week ago and yesterday morning, he was discovered dead on the side of the road.
But was he murdered? That's what his family believes, but the police are still trying to confirm that. So far, the commissioner says that there are no signs of foul play.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"We are awaiting the postmortem examination. I can say that the inspection of the body there seems to be no signs of injuries on the body. So, we have to wait the postmortem to see what the cause of death is. And, based on that we will see what category we will put it under, whether it is homicide or as the case may be. So, I think the postmortem should be conducted this afternoon. Once it is out we will have the public notified of it."

"Sir, while it is not classified as a homicide yet, we do know that the area on the John Smith road is a popular dumping ground for bodies, especially those who have been killed. Seeing as though another body was found, is the police looking at maybe putting more patrols - I don't know if you could put a police booth there or something to ward off these people who dump bodies there?"
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Certainly, we would like to put a mobile patrol in the area, but at this time it is extremely difficult due to our human resource constraints. Nonetheless, I am hoping that sometime next week, we should be able to erect three surveillance cameras there. One at each entry and the other in the middle and with that we should be able to have some coverage of the John Smith Road in the interim until we can have the human resource to put a patrol in the area."

"What about lighting? Do you believe there needs to be better lighting back there?"
Chester Williams
"I do believe that the lighting condition of the John Smith Road is good. Perhaps in certain areas there may be a need to put lights, and that is something we certainly can discuss with B.E.L. to see what they can do to help."
