The long weekend's first murder happened in Pomona Village - and it appears to have been the product of jealousy. It happened on Saturday at 1:30 am when 29 year old Kevin Williams was fatally stabbed while socializing with 39 year old Ana Budna. The couple was approached by her ex,43 year old Doratian Salam who jumped off his motorcycle and attacked Williams with a knife, fatally stabbing him. Police told us more:
ASP Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer
"Kevin Williams was in the company of a female when they were walking and approached by Doratian Salam, a forty-three year old security guard who jumped off his motorcycle and immediately attacked Williams. I know that Monday Salam handed himself into Dangriga Police in the company of his attorney Mr. Selgado."
"Mr. Williams and his female companion were at a bar in that village earlier. It is not a secret that they may have been involved in a relationship prior to this incident and I wouldn't want to go and put all that out until we know what would be the nature of the charges."
Salam remains detained pending charges.
