A policeman has been charged for perverting the course of justice. The charge comes after an incident early on the morning of Friday, October 28th, when shots were fired in front of Marina Towers. Police say a group leaving the Thirsty Thursday night club drove in the direction of Mid Town restaurant and someone fired several shots in the air. A patrol team responded immediately and intercepted the van at the corner of Freetown Road and Douglas Jones street with 5 passengers, a licensed firearm and a few live rounds inside. Police later charged 33 year old Yabra taxi-man Marvin Domingo, for discharging a firearm in public. But, the story doesn't end there. It seems that a policeman took the licensed weapon and stashed it. That's why, almost two weeks later, 28 year old police officer Herman Ramos of West Canal was charged for the crime of Perverting the course of Justice.
