Last night we told you about the police officer charged for perverting the course of justice. 27 year old Constable Herman Ramos was charged after he allegedly took the gun which was confiscated after the license holder Mervin Domingo fired shots in the air outside of a popular nightclub.
He appeared in Court #5 in the presence of his attorney, Ronell Gonzalez. The Prosecutor asked that no plea be taken at this time until further instruction is given to him by his superior. No plea was taken and he was granted bail of $2,000 dollars which is when he sprinted to avoid the court camera.
The allegation is that after Domingo was detained, Ramos stole the gun from his vehicle and stashed it. Police determined this after reviewing security video of he vehicle while it was impounded.
Of note is that Domingo pleaded guilty to discharging the firearm in public and was fined. Ramos remains out on bail.
