"On Monday, December 26th, about 10:10 p.m., police responded to the residence of Mr. Omar Nal in the San Pedrito area of San Pedro Town, where he was seen with a stab wound to his left shoulder. Initial investigation revealed that Mr. Nal was in the company of his common-law wife and one Ms. Talita Cruikshank. They were conversing when Ms. Cruikshank asked for a glass of water. When the common-law went for the water, Ms. Cruikshank then attacked Mr. Nal, causing the stab wound. She has since been detained. We know that Mr. Nal was transported to the San Pedro Polyclinic and then later airlifted to Belize City and he's now at the KHMH. The investigators said that they were involved in an argument sometime in the past, the recent past."

The police currently have a 17-year-old suspect.
