Our next story looks once again at the trial against Kareem Martinez for the Manslaughter of 14-year-old Laddie Gillett.
Last month during our extensive coverage of that trial in the Dangriga Supreme Court, we told you that some of the officers who testified seemed to be confused about the timeline, and even which weapon they took to the crime scene.
Here's what their boss, the COMPOL said when we told him that justice Antoinette Moore all but accused one officer of perjury.
Chester Williams, Commissioner Of Police

"I was made aware of the situation with the Laddie Gillett trial where it was alleged that some police officers went and spoke contrary to what they said in the statement they gave to the police after the incident had just occurred and I had since spoken to Mr Chan who is the prosecutor in that matter and he is supposed to furnish me with a report and the transcript of the trial, once we get those documents then I am going to task an investigator to look at the investigation to see what the officers gave in their statement and compare that to what they said in court and if we see that there is a huge discrepancy in those two then certainly we are going to look at perjury charges."
