Tonight, Shannon Latchman finds herself as one of those mothers, still hoping for answers but unsure if she'll ever get them.
She says the mystery of Kyle's disappearance began on what should have been one of the happiest days of the year, Christmas. And it might have been had Kyle chosen to stay home after the long day of festivities.
Shannon Latchman tells us about her last phone call with her son.
Shannon Latchman, Kyle Latchman's Mom
"I don't know the young man but I know for sure that they were hanging out like early Christmas morning. So, his aunt was here at the time, his father's sister and um she comes every year and does a Christmas thing for the children in the area so it was like a big day so after that, he hung out with that same young man and maybe whoever else he came to his aunt and it was a lot of food and you know and so forth and then as the night middle down he came here to be with the other grandma and his other siblings too so his baby brother and my niece and my nephews them that were here to spending the day with Grandma, you know and then so I and them were on a live chat and then you know we are laughing and talking and they couldn't get over his shoes he was wearing Louis Vuitton Air Force ones. So, you know and he was like look at them, anyhow it. Was a great evening and then they clowned forever but I was at work so I couldn't clown forever with them and I had to hang up. Anyway after I hung up, um, on my way home, and this is how we talk, he was like what's up OG I'm like on my way home and I said unusually done eat up all the food now it's my turn now you know, anyhow he's like alright and I was like alright I'll talk to you in the morning and I never talked to him."
