She's the leader and founder of the Jump Street Posse Band, responsible for entertaining the Carnival crowds every September, but last night, someone targeted the home of 67-year-old Marina Welcome.
A very shaken Welcome today told us her daughter has been receiving threats. Last night around 6:30, she went outside the turn on her yard lights and seconds after she got into her yard, someone drilled her home with multiple gunshots.
ACP Hilberto Romero told us more.
ACP Hilberto Romero, OC, Eastern Division

"At 6:55 pm last night police responded to shots fired at Rio Bravo Crescent Belize City where upon arrival, they found Marina Welcome who reported that she was at home when she heard several loud bangs, upon making checks at her home, she found five bullet holes. Information gathered that she was at home when an SUV pulled up, a male person came out and fired several shots towards her house. We are seeking several suspects for this shooting at this time."
We saw at least 7 or 8 bullet markings on the fence and house today, and police found several expended shells.
