According to the family, that search was carried out without any police personnel.

They say that when they alerted the cops to the discovery of the body, they got very little immediate assistance and instead received a curt, almost rude resignation that a mobile would be sent out.

Dinora Caceres, Aunt of the deceased

"Immediately when we found the body, my sister called the police and the respond that this lady gave her was really, it's very... I don't know, like no sympathy, no nothing. She just replied to her like what are we doing there or she said, I'm going to deal with this and whatever... Those things really hurt my sister. She got more angry and we were devastated about it and they took almost one hour and a half to be there and the agony, we were right there all of us by ourselves looking for her and it was something we did not expect. We went there, yes looking for an answer, but did not expect to find her in that situation she was in and it's really sad. I can say the person that did this was heartless. They don't have kids, they don't have a daughter. The way she died, no one deserve to die like that. It's really sad."

Police did not respond to requests for interviews today - but we know suspects are detained and information suggests charges could be in the offing shortly.
