Coast Guard Rescues US Diver

And keeping it in Toledo, the Coast Guard at the Forward Operating Base at Calabash Caye was busy last night saving lives. A post from the unit says they conducted the medical evacuation of a US National who suffered the Bends whilst diving out at the Turneffe Atoll.

They report that the patient was transported to San Pedro and handed over to paramedics to undergo treatment in the decompression chamber.

And this evening, the Coast Guard is also busy in the Belize District where a boat capsized off the coast. There are no fatalities reported but we know that multiple patients were sent to the KHMH emergency room. We'll have more on this tomorrow.
