And a fourth woman died in a vehicle over the weekend, but it wasn't because of a crash. 30-year-old Irene Gonzalez's burnt body was found inside a Toyota 4Runner on the San Antonio Road in Cayo just before 10 last night. While fire officials are still investigating the cause, there is speculation that this may have been a suicide. Here's what the police had to say about it:
ACP Hilberto Romero, Regional Commander, Eastern Division
"Upon their arrival, they saw a vehicle engulfed in flame. After the flames were extinguished and persons came to help, the lifeless body of a female was found inside the vehicle. She was identified as Irene Gonzalez. She was taken to the hospital thereafter where she was pronounced dead on arrival."
"Investigation was that she was alone in the vehicle when the vehicle caught fire and she succumbed to injuries she received."
