We always hear about Belizeans being deported from the USA - but tonight our next story is about an American who will end up being deported back to the USA.
American National 37 year old Charles Fredrick Miller, a warehouse worker of Beverly Hills, Florida entered Belize through the Santa Elena border on July 13th illegally. He was picked up by Belama police on the morning of July 14th and was kept in custody. Today he appeared before Magistrate Mannon Dennison, where he was read a single charge of "failure to present himself to an immigration officer upon place of arrival." to which He pleaded guilty.
Miller was fined $1,000 dollars which he was ordered to pay forthwith or serve three months imprisonment. Miller was unable to pay and was sentenced to prison. It is noted that he had no financial resources in his possession when he entered Belize.
