We had already shown you a rough draft, but, now, the final redivision report of the Election and Boundaries Commission to the National Assembly has been prepared and submitted to the House of Representatives.

And though they say we're violating the Standing Orders of the House of Representatives by publishing it, here's the report anyway.

The key proposals are in Chapter 5 where the commission proposes that the number of divisions remains at 31.

That comprises two fewer divisions in the Belize District bringing the Total number from 13 to 11.

In Cayo District - they propose one additional division in Belmopan.

Corozal will remains with 4 divisions, same for Orange Walk, while one addItional division is proposed in Stann Creek District, and no new divisions for Toledo,

But, the report has not been warmly received by Cabinet which has expressed serious concerns. And that is with the newly defined area of Ambergris Caye - which is 35% above the mean number of voters in any area and far outside the permissible range of 15%. We'll keep following it:
