And switching now to crime news, last night we told you about the tragic killing of 23-year-old Jasmine Domingo, a young mother of two, murdered in her bed when a gunman, who is thought to have targeted her brother, released a barrage of bullets into the Domingo family home.

Tonight we're looking at the imprint of grief left by Jasmine Domingo's brief life. It's an imprint that goes beyond her family, extending to the co-workers who yesterday couldn't help but shed tears for the young woman who, they say, was like a sister.

Here's what Jasmine's fellow cashier told Cherisse Halsall:

Maria Mejia, Jasmine Domingo's Co-worker
"Well, we met here in December and as I met her, we had a good friendship, she was very sweet very nice and she was like an outgoing person. She, anyone who came here would attend with a smile, or, you know we have our bad days and sometimes she would be down. And no one would know because. She was always smiling."

"Just a week ago, you know she was very like, you know sad and we would ask her but she would say no, I'm okay but we know she was not happy, you know but she would always tell us as Saturday comes when we get our pay or it depends on the day. She would always set her money aside only for her kids, she would always put her kids before herself, like she would say, um, this is for the babysitter, this is for the school fees, this is for the food, then you know we would make fun and I would tell her how much you stay with gal, and she would say $14.00, I told her really and she said yes but you know I've already paid my school fees, the kid school fees, everything and right now just the Sunday I think she went to Melchior and she looked so happy because we, you know, we have her on WhatsApp and we would see her status and everything and she just went there to buy her daughter's school stuff you known it's very sad."

Cherisse Halsall:
"So how has the atmosphere been in the store today with everyone knowing that Jasmine lost her life?"

Maria Mejia, Jasmine Domingo's Co-worker
"Well from yesterday well, most of us, well the ones that were here at the store were very sad, the youngest co-worker we have here was crying and I, you know we feel his pain but we as adults we try to show a different face but deep inside it really hurts because you know it's a person who you see everyday. I mean our work is like our second home so Jasmine was like our sister so I mean it really hurts."

Cherisse Halsall:
"Tell me about the little memorial that you guys put up out there, who worked on it and how it came together."

Maria Mejia, Jasmine Domingo's Co-worker
"Well, um, my supervisor, my cousin, and I but we all gathered money and you know we bought the stuff and we put it right there because, you know it is to show everyone that we like, we did care for her ad we still, you know, like we will never forget her."

"There are no words right now to tell them that everything will be okay because we don't understand their pain but we will always remember Jasmine and we hope they do the same, which I know they will. And I hope the people around them treat her kids really well because she was a mom who would go very far for her kids and our team, We send hugs and kisses to her family and we just hope they get through this stage because it is really hard."

Employees at Vin Fa store were the victims of an attempted robbery last week when Jasmine Domingo was in the store however they do not believe that that incident is in any way related to her murder. The hapless robber went with a fake weapon but got away with nothing. Police caught him, he pleaded guilty, and he was fined.
