On New Year's Eve 2022, two brothers, Jon and David Ramnarace were viciously murdered in Belmopan. Two weeks later, Jon's wife, Vivian Ramnarace succumbed to injuries she had received during the shooting.

Now, as the court case approaches, we asked the ComPol for an update on the evidence the police have gathered so far against the accused killer, Elmer Nah.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"We stand by the evidence that we had gathered during the course of the investigation and I'm not going to go through those evidence. I think that the special prosecutor has been identified, I'm not sure if the contract has been signed but the last I spoke to the minister, he said that the AG ministry was liaising with the special prosecutor in the signing of the contract, then he is going to come into the country I think any time soon, he will be required to be called to the bar in Belize and then from there, he should take command of that case."

Courtney Menzies:
"Do you feel that the police have a strong case against the accused?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"We do believe we have good circumstantial evidence that can sway the court in either way, we're hoping it will go in our favor."

We'll keep following the case.
