Yesterday we told you that several Armenia Villagers were scammed out of thousands of dollars after one man claimed that he could guarantee them US Visas. The man claimed to have US Embassy links. But, he took their money, and sent them bogus appointment emails - designed to look just like the legit ones sent to visa applicants by the Embassy. Of course those were fake and there were no real appointments - and no visa. It was all just a scam - and an expensive one - dozens of villagers paid $1,500 dollars each to get visas which never appeared.

Those villagers have reached out to the media, desperate, hoping to get some justice. And we know they have also spoken to police. Today, the ComPol didn't know much about it.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"I didn't that in the news yesterday but certainly if those persons believe that he had done wrong in obtaining their money for services that he did not provide, then if the report is made, it's something that the police will be looking at."

Courtney Menzies:
"How do you prove something like this?"

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"Well, they will have to have some proof to show that he did in fact collect their money and what was the reason for the money being paid."

According to our reports a statement has been made by at least one of the villagers. They said they fear for their lives - and they fear to be blacklisted by the US Embassy.
