And in other big gun news - we told you two weeks ago that the BDF had recovered an M4 carbine assault rifle which was stolen from its camp Belizario.

It was later recovered in Belize City - supposedly in an abandoned lot. He didn't want to say much to prejudice the investigation, but he did emphasize that a soldier put in charge of a weapon - especially one so high powered - should never be too far from it.

"That is a very important point, but right now it is still in the investigation with the police. So what I don't want is a prejudiced situation, but I know when that finishes, wherever that will happen, it will now begin to file with the general on which decision he will make."

"But I think the general as well would like to know what will come out of the investigation first."

"In terms of actually securing the resources of the military, can you speak to if there is any effort that will boost or bolster that effort?"

"Well, every soldier knows that when you're issued your weapon, because you don't always have your weapon, but when you're issued your weapon, you must keep it with an arm's reach at all times, there is no excuse."

"There is no excuse for me to say, I will leave this here. Please keep an eye on just my nobody. No, it has to be within arm's reach at all times or with your hands. So something occurred there that we know that the soldier left the weapon somewhere."
