Cabbie Gets One Year For Fondling Minor

Belizean Taxi Driver 36 year old Jovin Anthony Carballo will be spending the next year behind bars after he allegedly grabbed a 14 year old minor's rear end on June 1st in 2021. The minor filed a report in the company of her father and Carballo was then detained shortly after and charged with sexual assault. His trial started earlier this year, and today he appeared before Magistrate Jayani Wegodapola, where three witnesses were called to the stand.

Carballo who was unrepresented was found guilty of sexual assault and sentenced to one year effective today.
