And while tomorrow marks a week since the young teen vanished, The commissioner of police told us today that if they fail to find any leads within the coming days, the police end of the search for Westby might subside. He explains why they cannot always afford to keep looking.
Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"When it comes to missing persons we would wish that we can maintain an intense search for a missing person for at least a week or two weeks but again due to the human resource constraint that we have, we cannot maintain an intense search for that long. We will do the intense search for at least three to four days. After that then we would die down a bit and not completely stop but we will still respond to information or leads that would get pertinent to that missing persons report."
