Turning now to crime news, yesterday we told you about the murder of 38-year-old Jorge Lozano, who was killed in front of his family on December 29th. He was a former gang member who'd changed his life and was working for the LIU. But the day after his murder, police stormed his yard and arrested his brothers, detaining them for 48 hours. They told us that they felt it was unfair and unjust since they were grieving, and they had no plans to retaliate. But yesterday the ComPol said that's not the information the police had.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"It is rather unfortunate. We try as best as we can to work with people especially those who are grieving loss but I've always said that if you want to grieve you must grieve in peace. What the police were getting at is that the brothers were planning to go and do a number of shootings and so the police had to be proactive and so while I would say it is rather unfortunate. There are times that the police have to make some very unpopular decisions and do things for the protection of others. Those individuals I believe should be released today and the police are going to be a part of that funeral to make sure it goes through peacefully but again I want to appeal to the brothers and every person who may be affiliated to the victim. That you cannot grieve with violence. If you grieve with violence it is going to abstract the police and we will do what we needs to be done to ensure the safety of the larger populace."
