And today we spoke to the president of the christian workers union who say that they are simply following the letter of the Collective Bargaining Agreement:

Leonora Flowers, Presiden, CWU

"We ensure that it is in train because we ensure that we follow what is in the CBA, we will not step out of line but you can look forward to us moving the post a little bit further when it comes to that because our inspectors and our entire team at Social Security, our membership or over 150 persons are geared up and waiting to see what's going to be the results so we expect a response, I want to say, at least by the end of today, we went all of yesterday with nothing but as things stand at SSB, dealing with the people's money, we're dealing with honoring claims."

"And SSB's first priority and our first priority as staff of SSB is to ensure that the work continues, so the work has to continue so the stalemate has to come to an end."

"Yesterday's demonstration was after they had given the directive that the person will be transferred then they had rescinded that letter and we had written to them based on that rescinded letter and we had written also to the chair and there was only a response to say we got your information, we're going to take it to the CEO, it has been 11 days and there has been no discussion, nothing further. We don't call board meetings, they need to call their meeting, they need to call it however they do it but this cannot continue, you know its of importance, a member should have been transferred beginning yesterday and that has not happened."
