Life In Prison For Lookout Man In Vendor Murder

A man has been sentenced to life in prison for being the lookout man as his associates robbed and killed vendor, Jose Hilario Diaz in 2019.

Justice Nigel Pilgrim today told Leroy Haulze that he must serve 31 years before is eligible for parole- but that sentence will only start to run AFTER he finished serving a 5 year sentence for robbery.

Justice Pilgrim noted that Haulze was seen clearly in the security video - acting as the lookout man and even though he was not the shooter he played a role in the murder. The alleged shooter, Emerson Garnett was acquitted because his face could not be made out on the video.
