In January of last year Prime Minister Briceno had signed an MOU with the the Taiwanese government to mark the beginning of a 33 million dollar project, for the construction of a long. Promised, much needed public Hospital for San Pedro.
He told us that the project would take about two years to complete, after a location for the hospital was designated. Today he gave us an update on their progress.

"We are just at the point signing the contract with OECC, that's the Taiwanese company that works along with the Taiwanese government. We are almost at the point to sign the contract and then they will be working I guess with a local contractor to be able to build the building."
"I would think that probably the next few weeks we will be doing the groundbreaking ceremony."
