Darrell Tutsi Usher - he's an ex cop turned microcredit entrepreneur - but he told the court today - his reputation continues to be dogged by an old charge that won't go away.
In 2021, Usher was charged for kept firearm and ammunition. And more than two years later, it still hasn't gone to trial. Today, when he appeared in court with his Attorney, Richard "Dickie" Bradley Usher asked the Magistrate to dismiss the charges against him. He noted that the prosecution has missed its deadline for filing arguments and called it an injustice. He said his case has been before the court for too long and as a Businessman it has been a great inconvenience to him.
And while the Magistrate agreed with him that the matter has been long before the court, she granted another adjournment to the crown. The trial date is now set for March 22, 2024.
