And in another case of Facebook fraud - a man has been charged after he allegedly conned a Facebook user out of money he paid for an invisible couch set.

Stephan Butler told police that he found himself in the crosshairs of a facebook marketplace scam. He attempted to purchase a recliner sofa set from a person behind a profile named Adalaine Lopez. The person agreed to sell Butler the sofa set for $1300 plus a $100 delivery fee and then sent him an Atlantic bank account to deposit to with the name Anthony Sanchez.

On Tuesday Butler deposited the money and sent a copy of the receipt to the individual who informed him that he would deliver the item later that afternoon. After making several attempts to contact the individual again he was unable to get through to the seller on facebook or through the number that was given to him to call. Three days after Butler made his report, police detained 34 year old Anthony Sanchez for questioning.

He has since been charged for obtaining property by deception.
