A police corporal has been remanded to prison for allegedly firing at someone.

Today in court, Corporal Lawrence Martinez was charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and wounding upon Patrick Dean Tillett. It stems from an incident which occurred on January 6, 2024 at the Hattieville Police Station.

Due to the nature of the offence, he was denied bail.
