Earlier in the news, we told you about two of the three disturbing murders that occurred this weekend.
The third murder happened last night, around 9:00 - and it has its own bizarre twist. Steven Jorgensen was sleeping at home on Faber's Road when his brother-in-law showed up with a gun and threatened his family. Those threats manifested into reality when a single gunshot was fired, but Jorgensen took the bullet for his family.
Now, they're left to mourn their hero. Courtney Menzies visited them today and has this story.
Many know Steven Jorgensen as a taxi man, usually found on King Street. But his family knows him as a hero who sacrificed his life to save theirs.
Jorgensen was at home on Faber's Road yesterday with three of his kids and his wife when his brother-in-law, Bernard Talbert, showed up wielding a gun. He held the family hostage before pulling the trigger.
Jorgensen's daughter said she had just gotten home from the store when she heard a knock at the door.

"My uncle, he basically pulled out the gun and pointed out at my mom in her head and then he said, you see you can't come to my house or something like that. My mom said, which house? At the same time, my pa basically heard the commotion and he jumped out. My sister basically push the door and said that he have a gun."
"And that's when my pa actually like snapped out of the sleepiness I believe he had and walked behind my mother. At that time, when he came in, he basically tell us to not to call no police because he is here to killed all of us, no call no police."
"My sister basically, she basically like go beside me on the next side. And my pa told her no run, we have one life to live. If you want to do this, he will do this. So my ma and my pa basically was trying to chase him out of the house, right."
"After that, he basically switched the gun and point it at my sister and then he called my sister a - you is the reason why he can't come here."
"The reason why he is basically banned from the house is because my mom put a restriction on him because he was basically trying to molest my sister."
"That's the reason why he was banned from the house, because he used to live upstairs. I don't know exactly what happened afterwards. And I just hear a gunshot. And at first, I thought it was my mom that got shot. But it seems like my pa probably jumped front of my mom to get the bullet, and that's how he went down."
"He's a hero, like I always say, he's a hero. He protect we."
And this isn't the first time that Talbert has harassed this family. Last year, he had an argument with Ferguson's mother over the Faber's Road home that they were living in.
Now, Ferguson says they're afraid to even go back there.

"I basically went in to get a loan to actually fix the house because of the hurricane that actually destroyed the roof and the stairs and the windows."
"So I actually went in to actually get a money to actually fix it. The house looked a little bit better than before, thanks to me, of course, and my mom and my dad, of course."
"And that's where he got vex because he told my mom that he don't know why we are fixing this house because he wished the house crumble on us and that this is his land and this is his house and that we don't own anything. And basically we have all the paperwork, and it's me paying for the land tax and everything. He basically said that this is not done yet because he wants to wipe out all of us."
"And I'm afraid to go back to the house because I don't know what, if he's still out there, I don't know if he's going to shoot up the house or light us on fire."
And this family has now lost their sense of safety and their protector, but they'll always remember Jorgensen as a hardworking man who loved seeing other happy.

"Everybody who knew my pa, knows him as an outgoing person, energetic. Everybody knows he has "joggy", he like play domino."
"He's an outgoing person, like I said. He will tease, tease, tease you until he crack a smile out of you. He friendly, bad. And he's well-knowing to Belize, number one, taxi as what most people always say."
"Anytime they need a taxi, and they call him, my pa willing to go and get them."
Jorgensen had seven kids in all.
Talbert is still on the run and is wanted by police.
