Yesterday we told you that Elmer Nah had filed a complaint that while he was being transported to court, he was threatened by one of the police officers. While the ComPol refrained from saying too much, he explained that they have the evidence to prove that the complaint is false.

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police

"I will not respond to that, that's a matter before the court and Nah certainly has a right to mount a defense. We at the end of the day will have a duty to present the case and I will leave it at that."

Reporter:
"He alleges that he was threatened by police escort."

Chester Williams, Commissioner of Police
"That report is a total fabrication. I have consulted with Ms Alifah Elrington who is the head of prosecution branch and thankfully, the officers who are engaged in escorting Nah do wear body cameras throughout the escort and the bus in which he is escorted also has cameras inside that bus and so we do have video footage of his entire escort and nowhere in the escort do we see anybody abusing him or threatening him. Those video footage also have audio so if it were the officer had threatened him in using words, the audio would have picked it up and if it were the officer would have threatened him by way of action, then the video would have picked it up as well. So from our investigation into that matter, we have found that it is not true."
